Pablo Picasso by Kayla Kogod

Pablo Picasso was born on October 25, 1881. He did lots of Art work such as Still Life with Cat and Lobster, The Bathers, Fruit Bowl and Guitar and so many more. He had been cutting sculptural objects together, using paper or cardboard, and then painting or drawing over them. He did a lot of abstract art work/paintings/sculptures. I find him very creative and I love all of his work. Some interesting facts about Pablo Picasso is that his is one of the world's best known painters. He has produced many famous paintings and even helped usher in a new style of painting known as cubism. Picasso's father was also a painter, as well an art professor. This would influence Picasso as he grew up. In 1895, when Picasso was a teenager, his seven-year-old sister died from diphtheria. It was a traumatic event that would also influence his later work. His aptly named Rose Period took place between 1905 and 1906, during which the artist used many pink tones and often created circus scenes. one of my favorite quotes by Pablo Picasso is Colors, like features, follow the changes of the emotion.
