The Third Level

“The Third Level”
Imagine being in a world where no one believes you. In the story “The Third Level” Charlie, the main character, found the third level at the Grand Central Station. This story This story is a romance that takes place in 1894.This story teaches and important lesson and this story reminds me of a story I heard about the Kramer family.
“The Third Level” is a romance. It starts off with his mild conflict and having no one believe him that there is a third level. When he tries to go and find it again he cant. He says he wants to escape and go home to his wife. The life affirming symbol is that when he is going threw a box of stamps he comes across a letter from his friend Sam who was also his psychiatrist. The letter said that he (Sam) found the third level. So his friend/psychiatrist believes him.

In the story “The Third Level” no one believes Charlie that he had found the third level. Due to no one believing him, he just wanted to escape. He wanted to go home to his wife. The lesson learned is that you don’t need to escape, You know what you saw. Like when some one does not believe me that I saw something or some one do something I get frustrated but I have no proof to prove it. I think that is how Charlie felt in the story.

This story reminds me of the Kramer family’s story that I heard from my teacher Mrs. Reagles. In the Kramer’s story they have seven kids. They rented to live in an old house that has the staircase to the attic in the closet. All the time the kids would go up there and put on old clothes they found or play with cool things they would find up there. When they moved out the owner remodeled the place put in new wall’s new siding on the house new windows etcetera. The owner invited the Kramer family back to see what he had done. All of the kids wanted to see what he did to the attic. When they opened the closet door there was no stair case it was all dry wall. They went back down stairs and said where is the attic? The owner was like what attic there is no attic. So if there was no attic where did they go. That is my main question. In the story “The Third Level” Charlie found a third level to the Grand Central Station. No one believed him just like the Kramer family no one believed them that there was an attic. When Charlie went to find the third level again he could not find it. Just like when the owner invited the Kramer family back they could not find the attic. So this story “The Third Level” reminded me of the Kramer family’s story I had heard.
This story “The Third Level” is a romance with an important lesson. Over all in this story I have learned that you don’t need to escape from something you know you saw.
